Today the DAC Military Council has changed it's
mind about the scrapping of the Torga Ceti II.
This ship is of the same class as the missing,
and presumed lost DAC Mizar.
Due to the forthcoming conference in the Cratha
Imperium, the Torga Ceti II will be spared for
the journey. The Military Council will release
the ship to the Diplomatic Corps and determine
the fate of the vessel upon its return.
Also today, the DAC Military Council announced
that the appropriations for a new heavy cruiser
class has been approved by the Grand Council.
Construction begins this week and is expected
to last 3 months. The Military Council will
name this class of vessel after the DAC Mizar,
a ship presumed lost in Sector X, Last
communications with the Mizar occurred over
4 months ago.
These new ships will replace the aging Bnark
Class Cruiser that is seeing little use today.
