Hi, all

I guess it's been a while since my last post, but I haven't had much access to a
camera lately.  Anyhoo, here's one that's been sitting on my shelf for a month,
waiting to be photo'd.

Space Destroyer Wrath of God.

The Wrath of God is an experimental ship built on the chassis of the Gladiator,
a ship with a fine service record.  The Wrath is the platform for the highly
experimental GWEN device (Gravity Well Emission Node) which projects a gravity
well to any point in space within range.  It is mainly used for the Wrath's
propulsion system, but it is also the entire weapon system.  There is not a
single defensive weapon on the ship, so great is the Fleet's faith in GWEN.  A
well-placed gravity well (even if it exists for only a nanosecond) can crumple a
starship like paper, or it can stop a fighter in its tracks.  It is also useful
for blocking or deflecting many kinds of hostile fire.

The first two pictures show the Wrath floating in space (it could float above a
planet, too, without even pushing 10% on GWEN).  Pretty generic stuff.  The last
pic, however, shows how I've made use of those wonderful CS jackets found in the
train set.  I would like to extend credit and many, many heartfelt thanks to
Anthony Sava for making these (closed-collar) jackets available to us
image-editing-nincompoops.

From left to right, the general ranking according to color:
Captain; Officer; Navigational Specialist (pilot/helmsman); Ordinance Specialist
(weapons officer); Engineering Specialist; Ship's mate (general duties).  At
least that's how I've classed them for now.

For the Starshippers: official registration coming soon, in a .starship-only
post.
And for the Non-Starshippers: go on over to our newsgroup under .gaming and see
if you'd like to register a ship in our game!

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.  Enjoy!
Andrew

(...) -snippedy do da- (...) Andrew, Great ship, great backstory, great crew. Nice use of those torsos. I love the engines under the bridge area and the airlock door with the wheely thing. Awesome work; can't wait to see it on the Starship galaxy. (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)
