Interstellar News Network, Special Report

To all civilians of the galaxy, this special report is just in, sponsored by
Space Pets For Us, for all your pet needs.

At 8:20PM USCT, the USC has been destroyed by rebel merchant corporations and
by armed militant groups.  The leadership of the USC was crushed, and the
final 70 ships loyal to the USC destroyed.  A mere 100 or so USC personnel
are still alive and the civilian population is steady.

All USC vessels in foreign territories are now civilian vessels.  They will
continue as they wish.  This is sad news for the people of the USC.

We here at INN will continue to provide you with any recent developments on
the USC.  Joe Frong, signing out.

This is Richard Valeriani reporting live for InNN from the Jahn Sheefn Task
Force, somewhere in Arbor Sector.

The galaxy watches in horror as the USC regime, wracked by internal division and
intrigue, and set upon not by foreign powers, but splinter military and
commercial interests, seems to suffer its final collapse.

The Interstellar News Network is carrying large amounts of footage purporting to
show the end of the USC.

But here at the Jahn Sheefn command centre somewhere in Arbor sector, already
there are rumours that the USC supremos have not been killed, but are hiding out
in safe houses, waiting for an opportunity to leave the sector secretly, to be
given asylum with like-minded regimes and clandestined groups elsewhere in the
galaxy.

Despite the apparent end of the USC, I am assured by the Jahn Sheefn task force
commander, Vice Admiral <name censored>, that the task force has no plans to
leave the sector.  He points to the lack of certainty surrinding the fate of the
USC leadership, and the unknown disposition of the USCs reputed stockpiles of
weapons of mass destruction.

I'm Richard Valeriani, reporting live for InNN from the Jahn Sheefn Task Force,
somewhere in Arbor Sector.
