A 6x6 grid of 32x32's?  Phew, those little plastic guys better have some
vehicles to ride around in!  I'd say that if you're using all vehicles, that's
about right, but you still want to put in plenty of terrain accessable only on
foot.  And personally, I'd make it smaller--a 4x4 grid is probably plenty for a
4 player game.  Otherwise you'll spend the whole game moving your men.

Also, what size should the armies be so everyone has a chance, but it doesn't
become bogged down too much. My initial feeling was 30 per army.

30?!  Wow!  You're really planning a slugfest!  And with four players,
that's...*counts on fingers*...120 minifigs!  Oh, wait...did you mean CP's?  I
assumed you meant '30 figs' from the size of game area you planned on.
Well, whatever you meant, I would go with not less than ten, nor more than
fifteen figs per person (assuming you have vehicles.  Without vehicles, jack
those numbers up by four or five...then down again if there are no explosives
involved ;-).

Anyway, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

This is just me speaking from experience, and what has worked for me in the
past.  I hope your game goes well!
