...Well, despite all the things going on, I have tinkered some with a
microfig/stickfig scale war game... I started with kind of making minifig death,
but smaller (www.wildlink.com/lego/minifigdeath/), but then I hit upon a really
silly idea for a system that I ended up kind of liking...
...Basically, when you shoot things, you ask some questions about would it make
the shot easier or harder... for every easy, you double the number of dice, for
every hard you halve it. then 5 or 6 to hurt things... its even simpler than
MFD, and in some initial testing, it even works ok...
...I haven't had time to tinker with vehicles or even to balance out "point
costs" or things, but the basic fig rules are at
www.wildlink.com/lego/microfigdeath. I'm still working with turn sequencing, but
for now its just move, fire, next player... (considering going with limited
number of actions per player per turn to make it more fast paced).
Take a look and LMKWYT :-)
BTW: I want to publicly thank all the people building origami and stickfig mecha
out there for helping to inspire me to make a game they can play in :-)
(especially sproaticus and his stick-fig models
http://www.io.com/~jsproat/lego/microfig/stickfig/wallpaper#WAITING :-)
The eventual idea is to make the game allow origami mecha to play with lots of
infantry running around... we'll see how it works...
