Frank--what about that idea you had to run some kind of Pirate Game

I think a Piratefest would be awsome. I'm not sure if I could come up
with a venue though (my apartment certainly isn't big enough for a
game). I think someplace in the mid-Atlantic region would be best, which
would suggest D.C. as a good option.

I could investigate a couple possible venues. One would be my
fellowship, of course that would require my "coming out" (which I'm not
sure why I'm worried about, but then I just seem to have these worries,
but then I started playing D&D before it was cool, so I think that has
colored my willingness to be open about my weird hobbies). Another
possibility would be the retreat center I have done conferences at, but
that would not be in a major metropolitan area, and would be
uncomfortable during the summer (no AC, no heat either). The advantage
of the retreat center would be that lodging would be on the premises. I
have no university connections to try things like that.

(...) OK--I'm glad this topic is coming up. I don't know what sort of dates are under consideration, but my Spring is now officially "full".
