I finally completed the writeup for the BrikWars battle between Gino and
myself on September 3-4, 2000.  Yes, it took two days, and if we wanted to
continue the fight until one side was wiped out, it probably would've been
another day.  Each side had about 2500 CP in total troops.

The results are on the BrikWars page:

Wow!  What a game!

On a side note, what's the largest, in terms of sheer CP fielded, battle
that's been fought?  I dare say that 5000 CP total on this battlefield has to
be pretty high up there.

I'm pretty sure the biggest battles prior to this have been run by the
Australians (see one of their writeups at http://www.hinet.net.au/%7Erparsons/
stud/006-3.htm ), but I don't know what their numbers were or even if they kept
track of CP.  They've definitely got the game with the most independent units
(their medieval game, for which no write-up yet exists, involved more than 300
minifigs).  I haven't heard of any games that ran for two full days before
though, so I'd say at the very least you've got the duration record nailed.
