At the Detroit Festival of Trees, Chris Leach and I were reminiscing about Tony
Hedglen's train rocket car
(http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pguenthe/0301-novigats2/p1260016.jpg) and how
much kids loved seeing it whip around the track, and I said, "Y'know, I'm gonna
build something like that for this show!" And so I present...
The Santa SuperSleigh X2004
In the face of skyrocketing health care costs for reindeer and elves, Santa
needs to find ways to cut costs... so he has a top-secret group of elf inventors
build him a new prototype gift delivery vehicle which won't require eight
reindeer and may also allow him to decrease delivery time.
While initial tests are promising, further test runs are required. An oval
track at the Detroit Festival of Trees, just off the Ford Proving Grounds, was
selected as the ideal location for these tests.

(yes, I did have to trim the beard with an Xacto knife to fit the helmet on... a
small price to pay for Santa's safety! But how can Santa wear both reading
glasses and goggles?)
