WAMALUG will be participating in the Fall for Fairfax Saturday, October 2. And
everyone in the area is invited to contribute to the display.  The event
organizers are providing us with a 30' x 30' tent for this outdoor fall
festival.

under the title " USA Unofficial LEGO Fan Event: LEGO Building Zone"

The plan is to have an area equal to around 48 gray baseplates for us to display
our MOC's, LEGO Sets and LEGO creations of all kinds.  Every AFOL regardless of
membership in WAMALUG is invited to bring something to show, and all themes are
encouraged, from castle, to trains and town, to space, to pirates and everything
in-between! This is a great opportunity to show off our creations to kids of all
ages.  Everyone is welcome to participate whether you have been to a WAMALUG
meeting before or not.  Just send let us know if you will be there and a little
description of what you plan to bring.  Then just show up!

We'll organize it when we get there so bring what you can to the event! The
current plan is to have at least 2 table for Moonbase and Space and then we will
fill in from there depending on what others bring.

It’s a one day event.  Public hours are from 10am-4:30pm and we plan to start
setting up at 8:30AM.  We have lots of banners and things to be hung and the
kids play area to put together.

Those interested in helping out or bringing models can contact me or reply to
this message.

Here is the official web site for the event. The best place to get directions
and more info…  No registration required.

I was told that last year they had over 20,000 people attend the weekends event.
mainly families.

We hope to see you there!
