Seriously, I don't have room for this, but I have seen it in person and it's
neat. I'd take it over Darth Vader any day.

Hmmm, are you talking about the life sized Darth Vader that was at Hamleys
in London over the summer?  (I happened to be there and saw it ... I'm sure
my GF and I looked very much the tourists when we took our picture next to
it) ... they had a cool R2D2 there as well.  I'd have to pick Vader if I had
my choice based on 1. Vader would actually fit in my house.  2. Vader is
more connected to the culture I grew up in.  3.  The White House model,
while being very, very cool, is also very discolored.  For some reason that
just makes it lose some of its charm (for me a least).  I can remember as a
kid going to the mall when the LEGO tour would come and they'd have so many
monuments.  The local mall also had a LEGO building contest every year
around Xmas, and the models would be on display right near Santa...

...the life-sized model that I'd really like to have (more than Vader),
would be a Dragon... it will be interesting to see how much the White House
fetches, if that's disclosed.
