I’m off to Europe!

The SPACE gallery in Bratislava, Slovakia will be featuring artwork from The Brick Testament in a new exhibit on the use of LEGO in contemporary art (17 May through 10 June, 2007). And better yet, they have graciously invited me to attend the gallery opening on April 18, 2007 at 6pm. Do stop by if you can make it!

The UK’s Little Artists (John Cake & Darren Neave) will also be in attendance and displaying some of their works. The exhibit will also feature LEGO art from by Zbigniew Libera of Poland, Jan Kadlec of the Czech Republic, and Stano Masar of Slovakia. The curator is Juraj Carný.

The SPACE gallery is located at Lazaretská 9 and is open Wednesdays through Saturdays 1pm to 6pm. The LEGO exhibit will run from 19 April to 10 June.

I’ll be touring Europe for three weeks after spending a few days in Bratislava. Very exciting, but it does mean that the final update of new stories from the Acts of the Apostles will not be completed until my return in mid-May.

(...) Splendid! Have a marvelous time, Rev. I hope you are feted at every stop on your journey. If you get up toward Prague and want some inspiration for what to do with all those extra skeleton limbs you have lying around, be sure to check out (...) (18 years ago, 16-Apr-07, to lugnet.events, FTX)

For everyone who will go to Central Europe: Don't forget to visit Svitavy as well! An AFOL-built exhibition (probably the first in Czechia) is located there. More info by Jindroush Kubec (also in English): (URL) Godt, Martin (18 years ago, 16-Apr-07, to lugnet.events, FTX)
