Sean, don't be put down by this.  I am sure (but not positive) that I have
seen this before.  Firstly, some people quickly scan the groups and miss
lots of stuff.  Also, not having answers doesn't mean people don't like your
MOC.  I very rarely - I mean very rarely - respond to an MOC post.  Usually
I only respond when I have the time and if I or something I am doing is
mentioned, if the builder has constantly awed me and I feel obligated to
tell him/her how I feel or if the content of the reply can push my current
political campaign.  Just because I didn't respond doesn't mean I didn't
like it.

When I saw your football team, I chuckled.  Your team is a very fun MOC and
very unique because it is uncommon to the normal building habits of us
AFOL's.  I also chuckled because you posted it to .football when the
newsgroup was set up for the Soccer (in England it is called football)
theme.  I like your team and will say that it is a simple but fun
accomplishment.  After all the people who talked about using the life vest
as Football pads, it is nice to see someone actually try it.

As a note for next time, here are a few suggestions I'd have to help
increase exposure:

1.  Crosspost to lugnet.announce.moc.  Many lurkers avoid all the other
newsgroups but this one so to get away from the too-in-depth discussions of
some of us and just see the MOCs.

2. Increase photo quality.  There are many easy to use $5 photo editors that
can help you do wonders to your pictures.

3. Place the subject in an enviroment with other eye-candy.  What I mean
here is for many smaller moc's the pictures can get boring if the subject is
by itself.  For example, if I were publishing a castle merchantmen's cart, I
would take a couple photos of it with a Medieval Marketplace stall(1) to
make things more interesting.

One final note, though there may not be verbal responses, almost 500 people
have viewed your brickshelf folder.  That is a lot of people for only 4 days!

Jeremy

(1)What did I say? Even here I am pushing my political interests!

Wassssup Everyone,
After having my football pics up for about 4 days and no responses
I've now come to my senses to ask a question.
When it comes to MOC's, What does it take to be #1?
I mean, everyone works hard on their stuff,
and just b/c some peoples stuff isn't as big or eyepopping
nobody seems to pay attention to it.
I mean, I could be jumping to conclusions,
but its not to hard to leave a feedback to people is it?
I know I haven't always done it, but people should right?
I've asked my share of questions so now
I guess I'll wait for your answers.
PLMKWYT!
Hasta La Vista, Sean
