Re: Browser Add-On to View DAT Files...

Steven Broughton: (...) You're wrong here. (...) Any of these will do. The most common choice seems to be LDLite. Play well, Jacob ---...--- -- E-mail: sparre@cats.nbi.dk -- -- Web...: <URL:(URL) -- ---...--- (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.faq)

Browser Add-On to View DAT Files...

I'm trying to view the DAT files in the CAD/DAT Files portion of LUGNET, but I don't have the browser add-on that is required. I don't know what add-on is needed or where to download it from. I do have Ldraw, Ldraw Lite, and MLcad already. I would (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.faq)

 Re: Jambalaya FAQ

(...) Cool! Thanks, Patricia! (...) Some questions I'd like to see answered: o "Should I keep track of what I take and what I put in?" o "What if I don't have any really nice pieces to put in the box?" (quantity vs. quality) (probably also: what (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya, lugnet.faq)

Re: Conversion between LDU, inches and millimeters

(...) I *thought* I felt taller all of a sudden ... Steve (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Conversion between LDU, inches and millimeters

(...) The inch was redefined some time ago to make it equal 2.54 centimeters exactly. It used to be slightly larger, but it was close enough that it didn't really make any difference when they changed it. (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: Conversion between LDU, inches and millimeters

(...) This surprises me. *Exactly* 25.4 mm / inch? I thought that the conversion rate was kind of one of those irrational numbers (1) that had digits trailing off into infinity or, failing that, Imelda Marcos' shoe closet. :-, (...) *This* is cool. (...) (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

Conversion between LDU, inches and millimeters

(...) Conversion constants are much more relevant to the stud pitch than the brick height or width, because brick heights and widths are subject to the error caused by the fact that LEGO always designs elements so there will be tiny gaps when (...) (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: [Building FAQ] What are the dimensions and aspect ratios of LEGO(r) bricks?

Supplement to conversion I added in: Adam Howard <abhoward10@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:FG4FGJ.9Fn@lugnet.com... (...) After taking some more samples I have decided I need to take a lot more. So far I've measured about 20 parts varying in (...) (25 years ago, 22-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: New Site - The Unofficial Lego Technic Service Catalog is now online

(...) New LEGO-related site advertisments should not be posted to lugnet.faq . Within the realm of lugnet.general possibly, lugnet.announce certainly, but not lugnet.faq . Please do not use this newsgroup for this purpose. Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 22-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.admin.general)

New Site - The Unofficial Lego Technic Service Catalog is now online

Ever wanted to know what Technic Service parts are available? And what about the prices???? Well now you can. The unofficial Lego Technic Service Catalog with Prices is now online. Re: [Building FAQ] What are the dimensions and aspect ratios of LEGO(r) bricks?

Hi Sproat, (...) Thanks :) (...) No. I don't like to get the english system involved. But if someone needed one they could try converting 1mm= 2.666...6667LD to english. When I do it I get 1 inch = 67.7333...3334LD (Yuck). You could also look at (...) (25 years ago, 22-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: [Building FAQ] What are the dimensions and aspect ratios of LEGO(r) bricks?

(...) These are both great additions, thanks! :-, Adam, do you have an inch <-> LDU conversion constant as well? Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 21-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

 Re: autoFAQpost /general/~u.can_i_use_lugnet_name_or_logo.en.faq

(...) I just saw "KPNQwest" in the headlines and it reminded me... Another reason the capitalization "LUGNet" is icky is because it has a higher chance of being mispronounced similar to "PSINet" and other similar names. If you remember those PSINet (...) (25 years ago, 14-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

[Building FAQ] What are the dimensions and aspect ratios of LEGO(r) bricks?

I have added the notes on dimension relationships originally from Jef Poskan: Subject: What are the dimensions and aspect ratios of LEGO® bricks? Topic-Level: 1 Content-Language: en Originator: Fred M. Sloniker, 1998-11-28 Revision: Robert M. (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.faq)

 Re: LDLITE and LDAO

(...) Well, unless you want to put together and maintain a LDLite FAQ... I'm personally inclined to put it into the LUGNET FAQ. Later, if you want to assemble a FAQ specifically for LDLite, any LDLite questions in the LUGNET FAQ would be available (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jul-99, to lugnet.faq)

Re: [FAQ] Is there somewhere online where I can order sets directly from LEGO®?

(...) No. The question was "Is there somewhere [...] directly from LEGO(r)?". Mentioning non-LEGO companies is outside the scope of the question. - Robert Munafo (25 years ago, 23-Jul-99, to lugnet.faq)
