Mark,
I'm sorry to hear about the whole work thing. That just plain ol sucks. You
have my sympathies.

Matt,
I'll step up and handle some sort of mecha discussion. I like the open forum
type idea. Handouts are also a great idea. I'd love to tag team with Eric.
And I'm sure Dave Johann will help out too, so one way or another we'll
cover it. I was planning on having a new mecha to show at BFW, but I'd also
like to make some "cut away" type joints and such that people can pick up
and check out. At the least I will be bringing all my mecha and Eric's RR
with me. I'll assume that we'll flush out all the details later.

Thanks,
Bryce

So now I have to put the workshop on hold. However, if someone else
would like to host the workshop, I would be glad to assist in any way I
can. If everything comes out ok and I am able to attend after all, then
I would be glad to co-host or assist at BricksWest.

Awww...sorry to hear about this Mark...let me say, I certainly know how it
feels...

I added the mecha workshop to the schedule last night (though I have not
posted the update yet)...and as one of the interested parties, I still would
like to see it come off. I may not be as prolific a builder as some, but
I'll keep it on the schedule and run it myself if necessary...perhaps more
as a roundtable than a presentation? I'd still like to produce some handouts
like I posted about, and could certainly use the input of the rest of the
mech-heads to come up with an outine and questions to use...so keep them
coming here!

If the event were to foot the bill for some shipping (no promises yet!)
would some of you be willing to send some mecha our way to examine/copy? How
about LDrawing up instructions for some models, or even just detailing
intriguing parts (hands, joints, etc....like Mark was discussing)? These
would make cool handouts too.

Anyway...I say keep talking it up like it's gonna'  happen, and I'll make it
happen, OK?

Matt
