As someone who enjoys working with youth, I can say that it was a
pleasure working with both of the kids who played. Steve and I have
discussed before ideas on how to let kids of various ages and abilities
play. We really shouldn't ever be surprised by what kids are capable of.
Daniel grasped the game quicker than many adults and I know Steve,
Derek, and I all recognized this and that was why we let Daniel play the
bigger ship. Our only concern was to make sure the game could come to a
conclusion before the parents ran out of steam (I think Daniel would
have been happy playing all night...).
