If my math is right you will be driving through Greensboro (the I-40/I-85
merge) during rush hour. While rush hour in Greensboro is certainly not on
the scale of Atlanta or DC (IMHO Atlanta is worse than DC), it may slow you
down a bit. NCDOT has improved the road between Greensboro and Durham
considerably but things still back up from time to time. Once you are past
Burlington you should have smooth sailing until you hit I-95.
