Fortunately I've been blessed with the ability to revert back to a 10 year old while building with Lego and while watching the new Star Wars movies (yes, I love JarJar!) Something I think that people need to realize is that Lego is meant for CHILDREN... its great that adults love to use it... just bear in mind that when Lego is making their product they are more worried about what a 10 year old thinks then what a 40 year old would think about it... Besides, in my opinion I think Lego has done a pretty good job of giving older builders some of what they like as well... I point to the Imperial Star Destroyer set for proof of this, not to mention all the bulk bricks available...

Hi Marlon,
For the greatest part, you are right of course. For me, sets are only a bunch of
useful (or useless) parts. So, it doesnt matter in which form LEGO put it in a
box. And I can take it or leave it.
Their only mistake was the change of some typical basic colours such as the
light and dark grey.
But I think there is no point in complaining about it. LEGO is a company and
their only purpose is to make financial profits. And they do this as they think
as the right manner. Their only target group are the children, and that is were
they are focused on.
I think, the fun for an adult is to look what LEGO has to offer, and make the
best of it. The greatest challenge is to make a great MOC with the limited
possibilities LEGO has.
If I would like to make a perfect scale model I would have chosen another
material, like wood or something.
BTW, I wish I was that young!
Leo.
