 Dear LEGO / 4247 (-20)
Dear Lego, please stop doing whatever business thing you did that lead to the 8466 4x4 off-roader

(...) The only thing that would make those parts useful to me would be a Lego recycling machine set on beam. (Is it possible to recycle worn Lego?) I think people would much sooner have the 8880 which had a much superior 4x4 mechanism and could be (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Others may not agree, since S@H has had to put it on 50% clearance twice to clear out inventory. I too think it is a great parts set, except... (...) You're the first person I've seen that likes the pea soup puke green. There's a reason why (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.dear-lego)

That set has been, IMHO, (next to the 8431 Crane Truck re-issue) the best "really big" technic set in recent years (mindstorms doesnt count as technic) The 8466 has so many good attributes: 1.a fair few studded beams, including the (exclusive to (...)   Re: Updated lego.com: Fresh'n'Clean

(...) I concur! I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I noticed the site had been updated. The navigation is much cleaner than before! I especially like the Flash nav in the products section. I usually hate the use of Flash as a navigation (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-03, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Updated lego.com: Fresh'n'Clean

Dear LEGO, Just wanted to say, "Cool!" and thanks. :-) I like the changes to the LEGO Company website! It *is* new, right? because, I'd swear it changed only a few days ago.. yet I saw no mention in lugnet.lego.announce or lugnet.lego.direct. I (...)   Re: layoffs in Enfield

(...) A company that I've supported with *thousands* of dollars lays off a good friend of mine, it makes me want to stop supporting them. Kinda like when your favorite sports team trades your favorite player. It makes you like that team less than (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: layoffs in Enfield

Am I confused or are you? First you say "Are we not buying enough bricks??", then you continue with "When I hear that my friends are losing their jobs, it makes me want to stop buying your products." So we're not buying enough bricks, therefore (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  layoffs in Enfield

Dear LEGO: I got an email this weekend from a good friend of mine. For almost 15 years he's been working for you in Enfield, and last week he was layed off. Is business really so bad that you have to get rid of talented long-time loyal employees? (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-03, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: my technic set idea

High praise for Designer Set #4100

In a recent thread on LUGNET, someone referred to 'evangelizing' about LEGO. This post may have some of that tone to it, though I suspect this is probably more like preaching to the choir. On Friday I was pleasantly surprised to find several of the (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-03, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general) !

  my technic set idea

Basicly, we need a "universal" type set that emphasizes function over form & that doesnt have studless beams, faring panels or anything like that. Something with a couple of models (2 or 3) plus a whole bunch of "ideas" of how to do different little (...) (21 years ago, 13-Apr-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.dear-lego)

dear lego, please use more of part 32555.
