By and large, I agree with Larry. Here is my wishlist for the 'new' LEGO
train system...
-4 and 6-axle motors (diesels,electrics,ect.)
-DCC (already built in,LIONEL has done this-now it's time for LEGO
to follow suit)
-new train system should be backwards-compatible with 9V
-driver wheels for steam engines (available in black and red),with
the proper drive rods
-catenary (even if non-operating),sprung pantographs
-more and better boxcar doors
-keep the 9V style track,but change the crosstie color to brown
instead of gray
-operating knuckle couplers(similar to those found on Aristo-Craft G
scale trains
-8 studs wide,if possible
