  Re: O'Reilly book news

(...) If your browser doesn't support JavaScript (Lynx, W3M, etc.) or if you're running a browser that does, but you have it disabled, you won't be able to load the page. But if you still want to view the page, here's the page's actual URL (...) (25 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: O'Reilly book news

(...) What happened (apparently) is that LEGO now has their cake and eats it too. This makes me sick. I just discovered their page devoted to (quote) "some 'introductory' Books about LEGO MINDSTORMS." There I see two books, Jonathan's O'Reilly and (...)   Re: why?

(...) One thing I'd like to point out, as far as I am aware ONLY the Research Glider actually shows up in any search on eToys. The other sets have been found by hacking URLs which is why I haven't been talking too much about them, out of respect for (...) (25 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Ordering from S@H (From Canada)

(...) I consider $15.00 another Lego set. So yes, It's upsetting. How would anyone like it if they order a Hamburger for $5.00 and then when they get it they are charged $6.25 due to the rising cost of Cattle? Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego (...)   why?

Dear Lego, Why are the some of the first publicly released pictures of new 2000 sets at etoys.com and not at the official site? Many fans, children and adults, have eagerly awaited these pictures. I am very glad to see them. I just don't understand (...) (25 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !

Re: Ordering from S@H (From Canada)

Last time I bought item from S@H Canada, the person asked me if I had the latest catalog with me, because my I.D. number was printed at the back. With that number, she found all my previous order, my address and the number of all credit card I used (...) (25 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Heraldry for future sets:

(...) I wonder if a lot of people felt that way, and that's why they moved to preprinted torsos? (...) I would just make the stickers the size/shape of the minifig torso or shield itself - probably the easiest. (...) That'd work. (In fact, I've (...) (25 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Idea: Sleeves

Take a look at the LEGO Star Wars Episode I logo. More specifically, Qui-Gon Jin's (sp?) arm. He has sleeves (or maybe I should say "baggy" sleeves). When I first saw this I thought, wow, it sure would be cool if LEGO would make arms with sleeves. (...)   Re: Heraldry for future sets:

(...) Personally I really don't like stickers. I see what you mean in terms of customizing the torso's and shields to your liking but I would prefer printed torso's and shields to stickered ones. I guess one option would be to print one Herald on (...) (25 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Heraldry for future sets:

(...) How about taking a hint from what they're apparently doing with the Soccer Team Bus sets? In other words, producing a set of minifigs with blank torsos and blank shields, and then providing several sticker sheets to customize them. (Sort of (...)
