So how do you do updates if, say, the name of one piece changes
or if you make a picture of a new part that you haven't had in your
inventories up to that date?
I tried the perl-and-textfile solution myself, but the task
of generating "canonical" versions of the inventories (yeah, I know,
I should post them, my oldest ones are longer than 7 months, but
I have to finish that auto-post script ;-)) got a little out of
hand. Now I have most of my data in text files (your master list,
the ldraw parts list, the pause set list and my inventories),
but use a Postgres database to store the data.
Would you be interested in using parts of my software?
Perhaps we could merge our efforts ;-)
If you are interested, I could post an overview of what I
have on my laptop.

Hakan
