I believe that the part you are looking at is part number 6631. In my
inventory I describe it as:
6631 - Plate, 2x6, with 1x2 "T" Hole in Center and One Deceding 1/2
Two of these plates are used to make the top of the gear box for the 8480
Space Shuttle.
This part is different from the 8880 supercar gearshift piece. That piece
is a is a 4x6 plate with an 'H' shape. In my inventory I have it recorded
as:
6543 - Plate, 4x6, with 'H' Shaped Hole and Stick Shift Ball Socket
