(...) The single-character suffixes are used, not because parts have multiple versions, but because different parts sometimes have the same number. Noticed a few odd things about the Minifig Helmets on the Parts Tracker a few weeks ago (URL) first thing I noticed is that the newer version of the original helmet (the thick chinstrap version) has been assigned the new 3DN 593. I'm currently looking for instruction scans of two Racers sets which were only available in Germany (as a Duracell promotion): 4297 (Lightning Streak) and 4298 (Blue Power). I'm planning to give these sets as Christmas gifts, and I have all the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.db.scans)
