I got the 2003 Pitsco catalog yesterday and got chuckle for the use of the dino cans for the "eLab Green Car" set. See (URL) looks like they have some new parts packs, so it would be worth getting a copy of the catalog. (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.dacta)

Mark It also sounds to me as if you have the old Control Lab interface boxes. While we stopped producing the Control Lab software a few years ago, you can use the newest version of RoboLab to program these interfaces. You can purchase a copy from (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.dacta)

I have "inherited" 9 Dacta Sets from our local FE college. They are now upgrading the lab and installing new Mindstorm sets. So I have all this lego and 9 control units. Unfortunately ALL of the original Robolab software was "destroyed" long ago. I (...) (22 years ago, 9-Oct-02, to lugnet.dacta)

Mike, As recommended by others in this thread I contacted Lego Dacta and they sent me (free of charge) a CD-ROM with the 2.5.1 upgrade on it. This can only be applied to an installed copy of 2.5.0. I have not found the 2.5.1 upgrade anywhere on the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.dacta)

I grow confused about all this. Can you tell me how to get 2.5.1 from a patch/update off the net? Hello Colin, In order to get this CD-ROM for 2.5.1 I called Deanna Newell at Pitsco. She was on vacation and they transferred me to some very friendly tech support people. I have Robolab 2.5.0 and I tried to install SP1. The install says that 2.5.1 is required. It then searches for 2.5.1 on your disk. In my case it said 2.5.1 found and updated the software. Hello All, A small update The "Fixes CLI vis in Pilot mode" dated 7-17-2002 to be applied to 2.5.2 is incorrect. It must be applied to Robolab 2.5.1. That is the error I received when I tried to apply to Robolab 2.5.2. Tufts hopefully will upgrade (...) (22 years ago, 17-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.dacta)

Hello Miles and all, Here is what worked for me on the upgrade process: Number 1.) Robolab 2.5 basic release Number 2.) The CD-ROM 2.5.1 from Pitsco overlaying the 2.5 release Number 3.) Service Pack 1 applied. My version is now 2.5.2 The SP.1 text (...) (22 years ago, 17-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.dacta)

(...) A myth indeed! I too have ordered from Spectrum and received prompt and courteous service. I got what I wanted within days of ordering it. (...) I agree. I have had no trouble ordering online from these guys. They are just like any other online retailer. Red and blue technic beams, gears, motors etc. A bit pricey, as has been pointed out, but if they are the only source, you gotta do (...) I'm not sure, but I think this thread has now had more name changes than a dead LEGO product line. ;) (...) Name changes (after 20+ years of being in use) are a silly exercise.
