The "LEGO Technology Resource Set 9 Volt" appears the same as a set carried
by Pitsco. You can see it online at:
http://www.pldstore.com/pitsco2_30/catalog.cfm?dest=itempg&itemid=659&secid=
16&linkon=subsection&linkid=109

which is also the same as LEGO Set 9609, featured on Lugnet at:
http://guide.lugnet.com/set/9609

Note that the retail price listed at the Dacta and Lugnet site is $230.00,
not the $155 as listed on the ETA/Cuisenaire site. So the sale price of $99
seems even more attractive.

The other set (9605) seems strange since it has "4.5 volt" on the package. I
am unfamiliar with any 4.5 volt sets. Maybe the 9609 set was a replacement
of this set? As for its 1516 pieces they may indeed all be featured on the
box top as in my limited experience LEGO Dacta does show every piece on the
lid. You have to count all the separate chain links and small connectors.
But maybe not.

I am interested in how a 4.5 volt set (with two 4.5v motors?) could be
utilized with the more recent 9-volt sets.

***
For either set, given how Dacta set retail prices are hugely overpriced (in
my estimation) the $99 prices seem reasonable.

In lugnet.dacta, Miles Gentry writes:
Check out the good prices on some usually overpriced Lego Dacta sets at

You can find instructions 1031 and 1033 applicable to one of these sets • at
www.brickshelf.com.

"LEGO Technic Project Set 9605"
You can see some of the 9605 inventory at:

http://guide.lugnet.com/set/9605

(it's not 1516 pieces so I assume there are more)

"LEGO Technology Resource Set 9 Volt"

Does anyone have more information about the inventory of these sets?
(especially the 9v one)
Can anyone with these sets list the important items in them?

Thanks,
- David
