You know, I don't mind limiting the debate of this to .color. I think
compartmentalism is great. (Like, I love to look at, run and sometimes build
lego trains, but I honestly get lost when the train guys start talking.)
But why pick on the color complainers when the FED UP!!! complainers are posting
to .general?

If he is upset about it being in .general, then he shouldn't have started the
thread there!!! Come on, realisticly, FUT should be for when a thread changes
topic. (Ok, FUT is also there for gross mistakes, by why haven't the admins
called Randall on this gross mistake? They are calling eveyone else on it!)
The original poster has the main responsibility for posting his message to the
appropriate forums. This is becasue of two things:
1) human nature is to follow the path of least resistance, and that is to just
hit reply and type a response, without consideration of what forum is the
target. Right or wrong, its how people are.
2) people who actually do think about the appropriate forum may feel that the
appropriate forum for direct response is the forum of the original post.
Really if someone jumped into .trains and said "I think space-heads are losers"
it would be in the wrong forum, but people would respond to .trains. Not
because the respondants are wrong, but because the original poster was wrong.

I read his message completely differently. I agree on the "and others" part,
but it seemed he was complaining about it on Lugnet in general.

[xfut => lugnet.admin.general ]
I think the administrators are blaming the wrong group here, and it would be
nice to hear about the culpability of the original poster in this.
