I'm primarily a castle builder, so any sets I buy for the parts, I buy for the
grey and dark grey. But if all I'm gonna get is bley and dark bley, then
there's not much point in me buying the new sets!
I managed to buy 4x 4753 Sirius Black's Escape at 33% off, but they sit here,
unopened. I cannot bear to add the bley and dark bley into my collection. In
fact, I am planning on returning them back to the store (who would've thought,
returning sets purchased on sale!). It's so frustrating too because this set
has such a wonderful selection of parts...
The only "bley sets" I have are 1x 4492 MINI Star Destroyer (for a specific
part), and 1x 10152 Maersk Sealand (for display).
Honestly, I already have way more LEGO than the average person (don't we all?),
and probably have enough to build anything (within reason) without having to
make additional purchases from retail stores. Besides, there's always
Bricklink.
Previously, I purchased multiple copies of sets for the parts. Since I'm about
to have a mortgage looming over my head, I've wanted to cut back on LEGO
purchases. The whole color change issue has given me more than enough reason to
keep my credit card out of action. In the future, I can only see myself
purchasing single sets for display purposes only.
