I believe that quote was from me :-)
It's a sad joy (sic) to be quoted here. Well, maybe Jake didn't quote me but
someone who said the same thing as I said, but nevertheless, I'm glad to see
Jake truly understood my opinion.

I still think that admitting an error but not correcting it isn't enough. I do
recognize now that Jake is trying to help, something I found hard to believe
before, but I simply don't see the point of admitting an error, on LEGO's
behalf, and saying at the same time that the damage is done and there's no way
they'll go back. The money argument isn't strong enough for me.

Oh! Here! Here! Please don't say that you didn't learn the lesson! WE ARE
HERE! Why not asking us our opinion on the colors that should be universal!? I
think that TLG should have a more open-minded attitude towards us. We're the
biggest test group in the world. We are demanding on quality and unlike
children, we really care about small details, like HAVING COLORS THAT STAY
CONSISTENT!!!

Why not right now about Universal colors?

Ok. Here's a idea. A bad one, I'm sure you'll say, but a good one for me :-)
I'll send you all my old gray, brown and d-gray parts, you'll provide me with
the same inventory in new colors. You can then give those old gray and brown
parts to poor children as a token of LEGO's good will. I'm simply not able to
afford bulk-packs of old grays right now and won't be for a while. To me, those
bulk-packs won't be available when I have the necessary money, so it's not a
solution.

I think that unexpected errors are easily acceptable. Judgement errors on the
long term, though, usually mean that someone will lose their job. I'm surprised
no jobs were lost because of this one. I believe someone screwed up real bad.
Very bad.
My opinion isn't worth more than what it is, an opinion. I said before the
color change was stupid, I now have everything I need to confirm that judgement.
I am still going to boycott new products and concentrate on old products until
they are gone from the shelves. I'm still putting new-gray and brown parts
aside for the moment. I don't know what the future holds in store for my LEGO
addiction, but I know I just cannot accept this color change right now. I might
have to in the long run, but I'll try to keep away from those horrible colors as
long as i can.

| (...) If you look carefully at what you are writing you might just see the flaw in your logic. 1st of all... Lego (through Jake) admitted an error in implementation... but were clear that they still believe in the colour change. How are they (...) (21 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.color)
