Some CW character teasers

After a solid 2 hours of brainstorming and writing, I've got some teaser
descriptions of *some* (not all) of my characters for CW. No pictures that I
like yet, cept Tabbor. I need to get pictures of all of them taken, then I'll
put them on the CW website.
Some names are somewhat familiar to some of you, and rightly so. I intend to
use lots of you castleheads in my ballad, as soon as I start writing it...
Main Characters
==============
Tabbor
Adventurer; Lifelong friend of King Talon
Tabbor and Talon grew up together, inside the castle walls. Tabbor was his
servant until he saved his life one day when they were boys, out riding.
Since then, they’ve been inseparable. Being a skilled woodsman and master at
almost any weapon, he chooses a simple spear for its reach, grace, and power.
He knows simple magic, and it has saved his life more than once. He’s on a
quest to find the Altar of the Gods with his adopted son, Moses.
Moses
Adventurer; Adopted Son of Tabbor
Orphaned as an infant, the only family he’s ever known is Tabbor. He feels
somewhat out of place in his world, and is still trying to discover his true
calling. He hopes his quest will help him find out more about himself. Moses
is quick-witted, and thinks his way out of almost any situation. He doesn’t
enjoy fighting, but will protect himself, his father, and their cause through
the use of violence, if required. Almost as skilled as his father at
weaponry, he also chooses a spear to fight with.
Lionheart Alliance
=============
King Talon
Royalty; High Ruler of the Northern Territories
A goodhearted king, Talon rules over the peaceful northern territory. He’s in
constant competition with his younger brother, Braun. Growing up in his
father’s castle, the boys were always competing, Braun being stronger and more
agile, Talon always outsmarting him with his wit. Their father favored Talon
over Braun, because he was the eldest. This created great jealousy between
the two that lasts even today. Talon continues to take great pride in
outsmarting his brother every chance he gets. He’s the keeper of the Staff of
Hope.
Prince Rutger
Royalty; son of King Talon, heir to the throne
Cocky and arrogant, this boy doesn’t share his father’s values…yet. He thinks
he’s above all laws, and can do whatever he wants. He is still trying to
learn how to rule a kingdom, and is becoming a very good fighter. His uncle
hopes he can win over Rutger, and have him side with the Dragonfire Alliance
when Talon is gone…he sees great potential in the boy that anyone else
recognizes as inexperience and arrogance. He’s still got a lot to learn about
the world, and must realize that before he can unlock the true purpose of his
life.
Queen Shirki
Royalty; wife to King Talon, head of day to day castle life
A kindhearted and gentle queen, Shirki is a favorite among the castle
servants. Always willing to lend a hand in everything, she’s quite down to
earth. She hails from a land across the sea, where Talon met her on one of
his quests to find the Altar of the Gods. They’re now inseparable; she’s
always by his side, even in battle. She’s an accomplished rider, and a master
swords(wo)man. She’s even bested Master at Arms Trevor Vincent several times
in mock battles.
Trevor Vincent
Leader; Master at Arms, head of castle security and lieutenant of the
Lionheart Army
One of the best weapons experts in all the land, Trevor has served his king
for many years, fighting many great battles for him. Very loyal, always
defending his king, he wears the scars of battle on his face, losing his left
eye in a confrontation with Ragnoth. He returned the favor though, scarring
Ragnoth’s face. He’s been working with young Prince Rutger for a few months
now, teaching him the art of war, because he knows it will be necessary in the
near future…
DragonFire Alliance
===============
King Braun
Royalty; High Ruler of the Southern Territories
Braun rules with an iron fist, promoting the strong, hard rules of war. His
army is heavily armored, as they fight with a “kill first, ask questions
later” attitude. He’s two years younger than Talon, but has always had the
upper hand on him, physically. He still carries the jealousy of his childhood
with him today, trying to gain more land and take over the northern
territory. Thus, a great wall has been built that divides the land in half,
Braun’s men guarding one side, Talon’s the other. Hopefully one day these
brothers will have to fight side by side for a common goal, and will put their
childhood attitudes aside long enough to realize what’s important.
Hamil Cragg
Leader; Head of the DragonLancers
A very experienced dragonrider, Hamil is so connected to his mount, Firestar,
that he needs no words to communicate with him. Riding without a saddle, he
trusts his dragon immensely. His lance is massive; only he can hold it and
use it with precision. He’s one of Braun’s best lieutenants, serving his king
at all costs, even the life of his dragon, or his own. Firestar is the only
wild-born dragon used in the squad; the rest are raised in the DragonFire
Barns. He was tamed by Hamil at a young age, and the two have been a team for
many years. They’re very formidable, and have never lost a sky battle.
Blaze Roberts
Leader; Head of the Dragonfire Armored Calvary.
A once great knight, Blaze is showing signs of age…he’s been in many years’
worth of battles. The appointed leader of the slowly dwindling Armored
Calvary is a true grit veteran. He still rides with the best of them, but no
longer can stand to wear the heavy armor that is trademark of the knights.
Instead, he wears light armor and wields the feared Obsidian, a sword forged
of black obsidian by the ancients. The man who forged it was Blaze’s
ancestor. He has no children to hand the sword down to, and hopes to find
someone worthy of it before he dies.
