Shiri has made some great points here in a hitting the nail on the head
kinda way, and it got me wondering what sort of time frames are involved in
all this.
There obviously are common expeiences as many people on Lugnet consider
themselves to at some point have entered a 'Dark Age' of LEGO. For myself I
kinda gave up on lego in or around 93 and got back into it late 99 early
2000.
I was always into Castles and brought a fair bit of Pirate stuff when it
first came out but suddenly I was too old for it.
I had a few offers from people - mainly friends of the family with Kids - to
buy my castle sets off me but i'd never part with them even though they were
gathering dust up in the attic. (and boy am I glad I didnt now :) )
Has anyone any real regrets about dark ages (short of having to spend LOTS
of money to catch up) or did anyone abuse / sell / allow others to abuse ,
their sets during this time.

(I know this isn't strictly a .castle discussion but as Mike says any other
sets are just sparts for castles :) )
