Well I'm comin' back from my Dark Ages, and wow the Lego world has passed me
by. Today I broke down my 3-foot long space creation which has been with me
for many years now in hopes of building a castle. I found my baseplates
gathering dust under my bed and all I had were: Royal Knights Castle Base,
Firebreathing Fortress Base, and Dark Forest Fortress Base. Needless to
say, I had wanted to build a massive castle to celebrate my rebirth, but I
was hoping for a little more than 3 baseplates. I arranged these plates in
every way possible and every combination looked like crap. My problem is
that I haven't got enough castle sets--the only major ones are the RK
Castle, FB Fortress, DF Fortress, and Dark Dragon's Den if that even counts.
I need a way to beef up my castle collection so I can get to work--however,
Legos are expensive these days, and I have all of $110 on me right now (I'm
a young jobless teenager). How should I go about doubling my current
baseplate count, adding about 3000 pieces into my collection, and adding
about 60 minifigs for under $110?
Also, if the guy who owns the www.legobuilders.com is reading this, please
lemme know how you made those gold and silver dragons on your site. Did you
paint them and if so what brand did you use? They look great.

| (...) Ew. 'Course I'm biased... I don't really like using baseplates (the RR baseplates and the DF baseplates being the only two exceptions to the rule)... I'm for building my own landscapes or using standard 32x32 flat baseplates :) (...) Rule 1: (...) (24 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.castle)
