Color of Triceratops in Adventurers set 5975?

On the box of 5975 T-Rex Transport; the Triceratops is depicted as all dark gray, however; when I purchased this set, it had a light gray bottom/legs. Can anyone confirm that this is how it appears in these sets, or did I just stumble across a (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.adventurers)

  Chrome Shields Paint Removal

I did it. I took some Q-tips & paint thinner, and was able to rub that annoying white circle off my chrome shields, and it looks excellent! The white around the Bull's head will come off while leaving the head itself. You can also remove all of the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Monument of Mine

(...) Hey Kyle, What's the secret to taking the dinosaurs apart? I haven't tried it yet for fear of breaking them. Do you have nay tips for getting the two halves apart from each other without causing permanent damage? Matt (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Monument of Mine

It's actually quite simple. Preheat your oven to 275 degrees. Next, place the dinosaur right side up on some glass corning ware and stick it in the oven. Let it sit for about 3-5 minutes. Grab some oven mits and take it out. The heat pretty much (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) How in the WORLD did you come across this method? Experimentation? Thanks for the info! Matt (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Monument of Mine

(...) Well, if he took advanced chemistry (or maybe just general grab-bag knowledge) he would know that plastics (as most polymers) don't have an exact melting point, but a melting range, so that they soften gradually and not melt into liquid like (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Monument of Mine

I used to be into customizing action figures and what not. One of the methods used was to heat up the plastic to assist in pulling the figure apart, or make different poses. I figured this would work on LEGO as well. For my next Castle sculpture (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the crown. Heh. There's an Evil Dead game coming out for the Dreamcast with voice supplied by Bruce himself.   Re: lego factions and series

My first Castle set was <set:6059 Knight's Stronghold>. It had three Black Knights, and since they were the defending the fortress, I thought they were the good guys. It also had two Black Falcons, but for years I thought that they were Crusaders, (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: What is this piece?

(...) I've never seen the helmet either? It could be a computer generated image, or some one may have altered the chrome light reflecting back part of a flood light, or it could be from the Belville sets. P.S. have you recieved any other answers to (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

Isn't it just two of the light reflectors stuck end to end? the chrome things you put around the lights to make them brighter? (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: What is this piece?

(...) I *think* those are the chrome reflectors used in 6180 Hydro Search Sub. If so, it has two in each set. Scrounge around some less well traveled WalMarts, they had a bunch of non-US 6180's last summer for $15 each. Ray #124 (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

Help placing some castle wall elements.

Re: Help placing some castle wall elements.

(...) Well Ray, your surprise is that these are NOT Castle system elements. They were available in the Pirates , Soldiers and Imperial Guards systems, arguably the best series ever attempted by LEGO. Search the set database for years 1989 through (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Chrome Castle sets in New Jersey.

(...) I haven’t wrote into ‘castle’ for a while cause I’ve been off-line. I actually just woke up from a nine-month coma! So, evidentially I got some questions and some rehabilitation to get through. NUMBER #1 When did the chrome line of Kingdom (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: lego factions and series

(...) Good and bad only applies when I am not switching parts around on my creations. Townsfolk are mostly neutral depending on who yanks their chains. For the "stock" sets and official stuff, I'd have to go like this (with liberal storylines added (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)
