  Re: Green Hair

(...) *sigh* Isn't that true? I finally sprung for the Grab and Go Rally (or whatever it is called) to get mine. I got a 20% discount because I was using a special coupon, but it kind of hurt to buy all that just for hair for my green wizardess.... (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Painting Lego (Was: More Dragons)

(...) Huh? How is Fright Knights a war toy? Yes, they take the Royal Knights as prisoners, but the Forestmen were being captured by the royal guys (not sure which ones, Crusaders maybe) 10 years before Fright Knights. If LEGO was wavering their (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Leonara Heads

(...) I haven't hit on a single misrprint on anything yet. I've got all the KK sets and they all turned out fine... Matt (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Green Hair

(...) I got mine from a set that sold with a small fabric backpack a couple of years ago... I don't remember the set number, but I'll see if I can find it out for you. JohnG, GMLTC (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Green Hair

(...) Looking at the picture of it in my catalog, I don't think it was that much of a waste. Here's what I noticed- Reusable parts - flags; red, green and checkered - A 2x4? slope with aligator hide print (or is it a sticker?)- if you plan on (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Green Hair

(...) I'm pretty sure I got my green wizard hat in a bucket from Meijer for $10 in 1998 (<set:4055 4055?>). Timmy was wearing it, as I recall. -Adam 8^D (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Green Hair

(...) That's a good point Bradley. I hadn't really looked at it that way. The alligatgor piece is imprinted. I think TLG is moving away from stickers more and more, part of that Juniorization. (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Green Hair

(...) on (...) Stickers have nothing to do with juniorization, in my opinion. Some sets that people think are juniorized, like Railway Express and the Arctic subtheme, have tons of stickers. I prefer printed parts. And speaking of that alligator (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Green Hair

(...) The 2x4 low slope first appeared in the Star Wars line and there are several in several different colors and some printed throughout the Star Wars Line. So no this is not the first time the part has been used. Although it is the only place it (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

I know around me this set is still available for $20. It has a sort of a "lap play table" (URL) haven't gotten around to getting one just for the green wizard hat though. -Andy Lynch ----- Original Message ----- From: "Adam Hoekwater" (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

(...) I certainly didn't have an interest in a Sith Infiltrator or Gungan Sub for my Castles of Pirates stuff, but I found a WalMart that has them for $10 each. Open 'em for parts or just hang onto to 'em for now and trade/sell 'em later to get real (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Star Wars set for Castle use?

(...) I'd be inclined to open them for parts. The SW sets (especially, it seems the Sith Infiltrator) have done a fairly decent job of saturating the market, so you'd have to hang onto them for quite a while before getting a good return. Parts, (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Bellville Castle MOC

Ever since I acquired every set in the Belville fairy tale Castle series, I have wanted to build one large Castle using all the pieces possible.
