If you want my opinion, I will give it.  I think 1592 is a Town set, but
as a Castle-guy, since the first time I saw it, I knew I had to have it.
Not all 1592s say Fish and Chips (see the German version).  The stickers on
the Castle walls say "Legoland Carnival" and I tend to think of it as a
special event, where some guys dress up as knights and stand around the town
castle while the rest of the town parties.  Of course, the knights are
really cool, and can be amassed into an army by a dedicated Lego fan.
BTW - I just saw your picture (David) and thats just how I pictured you...
and Todd Lehman was nothing like I pictured him).

Just wondering - How many 'castle' people consider the 1592 Town Square • set
part of the castle theme.  Don't get me wrong the knights are very cool, • but
I've always had trouble considering this to be a castle set.  The British
flag, the fish and chips stand, and the ?movie? posters just throw me for • a
loop. It's a great set if only for those figures.

As part of the castle theme, nah... It's tough to qualify that set as • anything
but a town set. It's just that it happens to include knights in the set. • Kind
of like if you stretched the town theme to include a film crew filming a • sci-fi
movie... you could put space aliens 'n stuff in, but it wouldn't really be • a
space set...

But the question of the most valuable castle figs is still a little vague. • I'd
still classify the 'figs as castle themed, only because they fit in better
there... Are they their own castle theme, tho? Nah. Hence, if you're asking
which is the most valuable theme, it doesn't qualify, but most valueable
MINIFIGS, it does. But that's just me... other people might easily vote
differently...

(...) Yeah, it's odd to finally see people in person-- I think I had the same reaction when I met Todd, but then again, I don't think anyone could have shown up and filled my 'image' of him... Most people I just don't really get an image for... As (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.castle)
