Hey all,

I had really good work week.  Things are going smoothly, my crew seems to happy
and customers are treating them well.

However, these groovy vibes were totally eclipsed by the discovery that met my
awestruck eyes when I stopped by my local toy consigment shop (as I do every
other day or so) to see if there were any fresh bags of used Lego that might
catch my attention.

As I walked in the door, I saw a young boy cradling a very familiar-looking box
of screaming canary yellow.  I held my breath.  Thankfully, he put it back on
the shelf and I didn't have to tackle him!  :-)

I picked up the box and my heart stood still.  It was practically pristine.  I
attempted to calm my rapidly beating heart and opened the flap.  The plastic
tray was intact with the pieces and mini-figs in their respective slots!  None
of the bags appeared to have been opened!  I struggled to contain myself as I
walked briskly to the counter and paid the unarguable sum of $25!

A 17 year-old set at less than the 17 year-old price!

I can die now.

Dave S.

P.S.  Now I have the delicious dilemma of deciding:  Build it or display it?
What would you do?

(...) I love stories like this. Thanks for sharing. Makes you wonder where the set sat for the last 17 years... Eric (18 years ago, 9-Mar-07, to lugnet.castle)
  Some pictures perhaps?

Just curious . . . I was thinking this weekend as I looked at and repeatedly adored my prize: "How many people out there can actually recall this moment in their childhood?" I started thinking about all the moments (which I now relish) where I took (...) (18 years ago, 12-Mar-07, to lugnet.castle)
