Different uniforms for different factions tends to be a bit further on in
history really. It applies well to pirates but not so well to Medieval
armies. A medieval army if they had any heraldry would tend to wear the
same colours. The majority of them wouldn't wear any though, it being almost
exclusively the property of the Knights. It depends when you fancy your
armies to be set. (and to answer your question - yes I tend to have
different torsos carrying matching weapons)
