Gungan Soldier

It just hit me that this torso might make a great green wizard!  Any Thoughts?
Hmm, probably want to change at least the hands, maybe the arms also
to make an "authentic" looking wizard (that's besides the head of
course)  Ohh must not forget the hat! :^)

Well, I have yet to get one, but the torso actually strikes me as a rather elaborate
and stylish leather armor.  I wouldn't mind having lots of them, but I Don't. Need.
Any. More. Jar-Jars.  Why couldn't we have gotten two Gungan warriors with
this set?
Waah! (OK, whine over.)

Anyway, like I said, it looks more like armor to me, so I plan to possibly
swap the
arms, put a human head and helmet on, and make it a Mercenary captain or
adventurer
or something.

By the way - is that shield purple or trans-purple?  The box has it sort of
glowing
but I'm sure that's an 'added effect'.  (They really missed the boat if they
didn't
make it transparent, as far as I'm concerned...)

The shield is a solid purple.  The added effect is most likely in my
opinion to be from shining a black light on it, I know it makes the
various translucent parts shine but have not tried any solid colors
really.  My suspicion is that the translucent plastic is more brittle
and for the fairly stressed  use is much a small shape they wanted a
more resilient "regular" style of plastic, but that's just MY guess.

As someone else in this thread mentioned I *REALLY* like the Star Wars
theme for the mini-figs, they have a wide selection of torso's that
can be used in MANY themes with just a bit of swapping of parts.  I
have bought some extra sets just foe the minifigs, the other parts are
just "extra", I'll take them, use etc, but the main reason I bought
the extras is for the minifigs.
