Hey Dan,
letters are a great way to communicate your feelings, but before you send
here's somethings to think about.
1. I'd recommend posting in "lugnet.dear-lego" for anything you want to send to
lego. People from lego do know about Lugnet and can read it if they want. If
you really want to send something to them, I'd recommend calling them and
asking them (or going to their site and find contact info www.lego.com).
1a. To post to multiple newsgroups, simply put names of the newsgroups (eg.
"lugnet.castle" or "lugnet.dear-lego", etc) in the 'newsgroups' box. you may
also want to request follow up to one area or the other, so as not to generate
unneeded postings in the wrong areas (eg. no followups in lugnet.announce).. im
personally also new here, so i may be wrong.
2. Concerning MOC sets, Lego has expressly pointed out that they do *NOT* want
suggestions or submissions for what should be made a MOCset and what shouldn't.
As I understand it, the MOCsets are Lego trying to say "hey great job with your
MOC! keep it up!" and what they want us to do is just keep making great MOC's
and sharing them with our peers (essentially what we've been doing all along).
Lastly, I like the idea of sending your thoughts and ideas to Lego, and I think
you should. I'm not trying to cut down your hopes or anything like that, just
to give note to what has been already been communicated by Lego to us.
good luck with your letter
-lenny
