Hello everyone!
This is an announcement to anyone concerned that I am travelling out to
Brickswest next month to take part in activities there. Here is the official
description of the workshop I am hosting:
"Daniel Siskind, owner of Brickmania custom model kits, member of the Guild of
Bricksmiths(TM), and designer of the first official Lego(TM) "My Own Creation"
fan-created set 3739 "Blacksmith Shop" plans to share his experience and skill
at creating original custom model kits. Topics covered will include model
selection and target audience, sourcing parts, introduction to instruction
building, an overview of the Guild of Bricksmiths, and more. The greatest
emphasis will be a question and and answer session, which will cover the above
topics and as much as can be said about Lego's official release of the
Blacksmith Shop.
"Included with the presentation will be a display of prototype models of
current and future Brickmania custom model kit releases, including some not yet
shown to the public. Full color product catalogs from members of the Guild of
Bricksmiths will also be available, and some kits may be available for sale at
the Swap Meet, depending on available inventory and shipping logistics."
Apart from my official workshop, I plan to display a number of my current and
future custom model kits.
From the castle theme, this includes my currently available Guarded Church and
next castle release; a complete Norman Keep!
I will also be displaying the prototype models of a new series of highly
detailed WW2 armoured vehicles. These include Humbar scout car and Matilida II
tank (UK), M4A4 "Jumbo" Sherman tank, and M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer (US), T-
34/85 tank (USSR), PzKpfw III tank (with StuG III Assault Gun alternative
model), PzKpfw VI Tiger Ausf E, and SdKfz 124 Wespe SP howitzer (Germany).
Kicking off this new line of WW2 APF kits, I will also be introduce the first in
the series for sale exclusively at Brickswest; Brickmania 205: PzKpfw V Panther
Ausf. G, with completely detailed interiors and five man crew!
I also plan to bring small amounts of my current kits for sale and will have
instructions for my kits available for the first time ever without the parts.
Last but not least, there will be at least two or three other members of the
GMLTC attending and hope to rub elbows and swap ideas with other Trainiacs while
there.
I hope to see you there!
Dan Siskind
