Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) So what do you guys think of these? -Galidor vs. Jack Stone -Bionicle vs. Knights (big fellows) -Minifigs vs. Jack Stone (not in a popularity contest, but rather in a royal rumble wrestling match) -Bricks vs. Plates Keep in mind that the (...)   Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) That'd be awfully one-sided. However misguided they may be, there are some people that actually like Bionicle. Wait until the big Rainbow Knights hit U.S. shelves this summer. They might be a better contender than Galidor. (But then, the same (...) (21 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)

Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) Can you imagine a StuWars between .train and... hmmm.... ? That's the thing here. There's a rivalry between .space and .castle that I can't explain, that I don't fully understand, but it's there. People laugh about it, people make jokes, etc. (...)   Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) I'd grant the point on the prefab walls (though Allister has a great use in the thread below), but personally I never use those for castles. My structures tend to be all about basic bricks and plates, add in some slopes and arches and a few (...) (21 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) Well, I didn't invent the rivalry. Even the AFOL comic by Greg Hyland talks about it! It's funny too, because I planned on doing this "fight" a month ago and the comic came out last week. It was a nice coincidence. Hmmm... Maybe another time. (...) (21 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space)

(...) I've used castle walls on a spaceship. (URL) Turn 'em on their side.> (...) I contend that themewise, there are no specialised parts. Admittedly some parts get used more than others, but any part has the potential to be used in any theme. (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) It's funny you mention barrels in the .castle category, nowadays, we see barrels as reactors on space ships quite often. As for the prefab walls, you are right, they do serve mainly to create structures, but big engines can't be used in (...) Finally I am pleased to announce (URL) Minifig.co.uk>v2 Hopefully the new site is easier to navigate (and looks better). Its certainly easier to update, which will hopefully lead to more regular content (no promises tho). The site has been designed (...)   IndyLUG's medieval layout at Children's Expo

IndyLUG participated in the Parent & Child Exposition this past weekend (Feb. 28-29) at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Part of our setup included a medieval themed layout. All of the medieval pictures can be seen on Brickshelf here: (URL) Medieval (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.castle, lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.us.in.ind, FTX)
