Re: LEGOFan.net - central community run hub for all areas of the LEGO community.

(...) I'm a professional Software Engineer with 3 years of PHP and mysql experience, were I to log in and discover poorly commented, badly structured, inefficent code I don't think I'd laugh, I think I'd fix it. As a community, I think you are (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, lugnet.publish, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.trains)

(...) Icky. What about when amatures come in and write code that is... laughable... at best. Then you have a website made of mangled, chaotic code that definetly does not help the community at all. Poor commenting, bad structure, inefficent (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, lugnet.publish, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.trains)

Re: 2004 American International Toy Fair Pictures on FBTB

[added .castle] (...) And in minifig scale too. Ugh, those swords and armor are dorky-lookin'. I was looking forward to buying a copy or two of 8777 and 8778 based on the Classic-Castle preview pictures. But now, um, no thanks. The shields are kinda (...)   Re: New Castle sets??? - Toy Fair photos

(...) Sending this to .dear-lego. And adding in the polite request that this theoretical bin be made in *classic* light grey, please. (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Would you every buy from this place?

(...) I would never pay that much, but also I would never do that to a fig, or want one like that. It all depends on what you think they're worth. Like I always said growing up collecting baseball cards and stuff, the priceguide is there, but the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: New Castle sets??? - Toy Fair photos

Hi John, I think that many castle fans agree that this is a major departure from previous castle lines. I do like the parts selection and many of the figures look useful. Perhaps a degree of realism will be included in future caslte product lines. (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

New Castle sets??? - Toy Fair photos

Simply my humble opinion, but it strikes me that the new castle sets are making something of a departure stylistically from previous sets. The figures, armor and weapons seem more like a cross between the MegaBloks line and the "classic" Lego (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)

  My next Castle MOC

Here's a Lugnet exclusive from me. It's nothing exciting, but hey, I thought it'd be a change of pace to post it to Lugnet and not C-C. The blueprints of my next castle MOC: (URL) --Anthony (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Would you every buy from this place?

(...) I am really amused by all the trouble this guy goes to to change all the names from copyrighted names (superguy, etc.) but he uses all the trademarked symbols on the figs. I wonder if most people even find this stuff on ebay. -Dan (21 years ago, 15-Feb-04, to lugnet.castle)
