I also don't like how hiding a part now writes "0 MLCAD HIDE " to the
file.  I frequently have LDView open when I'm working on parts or
models, and I need to hide something in MLCad in order to reach some
other part that I need to edit. However, I still want all the parts to
be visible in LDView.  Could you add an option to disable this?

Personally I really like this behaviour. Please don't simply change this
back to the old style. An option would be fine, but sometimes it's
invaluable to be able to look at a model with parts hidden in LDView.
