Part name recognition in MLCad?

While viewing my inventory of some, let us say, "custom" parts, I noticed that
certain primitives are not completely recognized in MLCad's display window.
Specifically, I've made a primitive called "stud2cl.dat" that MLCad omits from
the displayed parts.  The weird thing (to me) is that the stud2cl.dat shows up
just fine in the library image-listing (the one that defaults to the lower-left
corner of the screen).  I can also bring up the primitive as a file unto itself,
and it display all right that way, too.  Why would MLCad recognize the primitive
for the library image but not for the main display?

On a related note, when I'm pulling up the inventory for the first time after
starting MLCad, I get error messages that identify missing subparts and the
like.  The problem is that I can't figure out how to verify which part is
generating the error message, short of opening every part that might potentially
be at fault.  Is there a more expedient way to localize the error reporting in
this case?

Lastly, for some parts MLCad give me an error message stating "stu22.dat not
found."  To my knowledge, none of the clone... I mean, none of the *custom*
elements includes a stu22.dat reference, so I'm baffled as to why this error
message would appear.

Any guesses?

Thanks to any and all who care to contribute.

Dave!

Hi Dave, I think you have the Stud-Mode option set to Coarse in MLCad. Change this to Normal and you will see the correct studs. This option set to Coarse will replace all stud*.dat primitives with stu2*.dat wich are low-res and thus rendered (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
