I have been trying to make custom bent flexible hose part 73590a using parts
750 (hose flexible end 1 x 1 x2/3 with tabs) 754 (hose flexible segment link
section)755 hose flexible segment end section)and 756 hose flexible segment
centre section)
While it is possible it is very time consuming and fiddly as segments have
to be turned induvidually by fractions of degrees and move by fractions of
units.
Does anyone know of a simple way of doing this, possibly by making them
follow a spline or similar?

If you know emacs, try Fredrik Glöckner's emacs ldraw mode. Even if you don't
know emacs, he has good instructions at
http://folk.uio.no/fredrigl/technic/ldraw-mode/index.html

The instructions for doing hoses (and bezier curves in general) are about
halfway down at
http://folk.uio.no/fredrigl/technic/ldraw-mode/index.html#bezier

I used it for the hoses on my locomotive
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=6165 took about 10 mins.
