I'm brand spankin' new to LDD, fairly inexperience with any Lego CAD, and
somewhat stuck in a dark age...so forgive me if this question has been asked
before...
How does one place a technic plate such that it places with a vertical technic
peg properly threw one of the plate's inner holes?
I wanted to build a train car in LDD, and started with the preset train car. I
took out the motor and replaced it with wheels, which seemed to work. But then
I decided I did not want the big plate connecting the two sets of wheels.
Rather, I want to build off of two 2x8 technic plates. But I can't seem to get
LDD to place the plate so that isn't either beneath or dramatically hovering
above the truss.
...Thinking it might clue me into something I was missing about the interface, I
tried to replace the original big plate, but I also cannot get that to place
properly now.
Between the install time and the time it's taken me to get to only the fourth
piece of my model, I could have driven the 30 miles and dug out the real thing
from my renta-cave. So naturally, I'm getting a little frustrated.
Any advice?

Well, I apologize for answering my own post, but here's what I found and thought was worth sharing in case anyone else has this problem: First, lego.com actually admits there are such faults with the program sometimes not being able to connect (...)
