Your best shot is to see if LDD lets you upload the model to the LEGO website.
If it does (or if you have a previously-uploaded version), then click on the
"Check Price" page. It will say that you can't order the model due to parts
being out of stock. If you click on the details, it will tell you which parts
are not available - and these are the parts that have been dropped from the
current LDD palette.
In case that doesn't work, here are some other things to possibly try:
Older versions of LDD would import LDRAW models, leaving out bricks that weren't
available in LDD. I'm not sure if this functionality is there in V2.3. If it
is, you might try doing an LDRAW export of your model, then importing it back
into LDD and seeing if it gets rid of the offending parts for you. Barring
that, I'm not sure of an easy solution, but I know of a hard way. Maybe some
other readers will be able to come up with better suggestions.
You can only build models with the bricks available from the online Pick-A-Brick
assortment. (One exception is the new train buffers, but if you use these, you
won't be able to order the model until those parts become available from PaB)
So, you could cross-reference your model with the parts available from PaB,
which would take a long time.

I did find another method, a process of elimination. I used the select (...) (17 years ago, 25-Apr-08, to lugnet.cad.ldd)
