I tried this:

0 SYNTH BEGIN RIBBED_HOSE 100 LDU
1 7 -174 -20 -36 0 -1 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 LS00.DAT
1 7 -10 48 -6 0 1 0 -1 0 0 0 0 1 LS00.DAT
0 SYNTH END

It is straight from the readme.txt file. It does not work...

Saved it as tube.dat and put both this file and lsynth.exe in C:\
From the command line I typed "LSYNTH TUBE.DAT HOSE.DAT"

This created a file "hose.dat" with this in it:

0 SYNTH BEGIN RIBBED_HOSE 100 LDU
0 1 7 -174 -20 -36 0 -1 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 LS00.DAT
0 1 7 -10 48 -6 0 1 0 -1 0 0 0 0 1 LS00.DAT

Ahui,

If you entered your synthesis statements as comments in MLCAD, then they
will not work.  MLCAD comments are of the form "0 WRITE COMMENT", instead • of
"0 COMMENT".  Edit the specifications using an editor and get rid of the
"WRITE" command and see if that helps.

Kevin I am having the same issue with lsynth.  Could you post the results • of
your findings here?  The ONLY thing I can get lsynth to create is the • ldraw
files you provide with the application.  If I try to use the parts in my • own
models or even just the parts and NOTHING else.  NOTHING happens. =(

Hi Jaco,
If you could send me the DAT/LDR/MPD file I can examine it.

Hi Kevin!

I cannot seem to get LSynth to work.
The only thing it generates is the same file as the input file...
What do I do wrong?

Hi,
I'm proud to announce lsynth, an LDRAW compatible bendable part
synthesizer is now available on my website
http://www.users.qwest.net/~kclague/lsynth

lsynth introduces a new LDRAW meta-command SYNTH that lets you • specify
things you want synthesized directly in your LDRAW files.  You run the • DAT,
LDR or MPD file through lsynth and get a new file with your parts
synthesized.  lsynth creates pneumatic, flexible, rigid, and ribbed • hoses,
as well as electric and fiber optic cables, and flexible axles.

For those of you looking for a powerful and easy to use tool for • creating
bendable parts lsynth is the ticket.  Future versions of lsynth will • support
rubber bands, chains, conveyor belts and treads.

Enjoy,
Kevin
