Yes.  This has been discussed before.  The original version of the
part looks like the one in the library, while the new one is the way
you describe.


I have a few of the original axle extenders from 8857 Street Chopper.

What was the resolution on this? Any hope of getting a version that matches
the "new" one? Usually you can just fudge it by rotating 45 degrees anyway,
but once in a while it matters.

That's the beauty of the Ldraw parts library (and open-source in general) -
when it matters enough, it'll get done 8?)
