On top of what Onyx said, there is also a very practical reason why I´m
against this suggestion. There are still people out here working on a
computer that doesn't support Windows95, and they are realy depending on
those valuable and very much appreciated DOS-based Ldraw gems.
I personally am very grateful for the programs James Jessiman left us.
