Hey,
I'm in the process of building a new Datsville-like object. It's called
Lugsville (please, if you've already cornered that name, let me know. I'll
change it).
And, I'd really like to incorporate 3d terrain into the model. So, if
anyone knows of a way, offhand, of creating roads that aren't necessarily
confined to your average straightaway or 90% turn, I'd really appreciate it
if you pass that information along. What I have in mind is some fancy fill
that fills the empty space in between two lines or curves with
road-looking-like stuff. This will be a bitmap, of course. This way I can
texture-map it to any height terrain, without having to worry about there
being a 1 inch gap between two baseplates of different elevation. I've
achieved limited success, but those pesky dotted lines are hard to fill!
If I can't do it, I'll just ignore this feature.
More info to come soon.
Mike

| (...) I think the name "Lugsville" sort of suggests that it is an "official" LUGNET thing. In that way, I think it is a bit inappropriate. But it's really up to yourself to decide! (...) Are you planning to do this in DAT code exclusively, or in (...) (23 years ago, 4-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)
